Kareem Braxton, MA, LMFT
Custody and Parenting Evaluator/Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Kareem Braxton, MA, LMFT, brings more than two decades of experience supporting families navigating custody, parenting time, and family restructuring. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, and has worked in both court-based and private practice settings since 2004.

Kareem provides a comprehensive range of services, including custody evaluations, parenting consulting, mediation, co-parent coaching, and therapeutic support. He is a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral and is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. His work is grounded in extensive training in domestic violence, trauma, child development, attachment, and high-conflict family dynamics.

He has supported families facing complex challenges such as mental health conditions, substance abuse, emotional abuse, coercive control patterns, and parent–child contact problems, including resist-refuse dynamics. His recommendations and interventions are guided by current research and best practices in the field, with a commitment to developmentally appropriate, child-centered approaches that reduce conflict and promote healthier, more sustainable co-parenting relationships.

While children’s well-being remains at the center of his work, Kareem also understands the emotional strain legal disputes place on parents. Across all roles, he focuses on helping families clarify goals, remove barriers to resolution, and strengthen parent–child connections.

Kareem is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) at the national level and through its Minnesota and Arizona chapters. Kareem’s practice is grounded in neutrality, respect, and the belief that families are best served through clarity, compassion, and solutions that support long-term stability and meaningful parent–child relationships.
