Kareem Braxton, MA, LMFT
Custody and Parenting Evaluator/Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Kareem Braxton, MA, LMFT, brings over two decades of experience working with families navigating custody, parenting time, and family restructuring. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, and has served in both court-based and private practice roles since 2004.

Kareem provides a range of services, including custody evaluations, parenting consulting, mediation, co-parent coaching, and therapeutic support. His approach is grounded in extensive training in domestic violence, trauma, child development, attachment, and high-conflict family dynamics.

He has worked with families facing complex challenges such as mental health disorders, substance abuse, emotional abuse, coercive control, and parent-child contact problems. Kareem is committed to developmentally appropriate, child-centered solutions that reduce conflict and promote healthier co-parenting relationships.

While children’s well-being remains his core focus, Kareem also understands the emotional toll legal disputes place on parents. In all roles, he helps families clarify goals, reduce barriers to resolution, and support strong, sustainable parent-child connections.

Kareem is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) at both the national level and through its Minnesota and Arizona state chapters.
